What’s Changed In Animal Crossing: New Horizons February 2022 Update (Version 2.0.5 Patch Notes)

3 years ago 4 Comments

A new update has been released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) tonight by Nintendo with Version 2.0.5 now available to download.

Following up on the previous Version 2.0.4 Update released back in December, today’s Version 2.0.5 patch fixes even more glitches and problems found in the game since Version 2.0 launched!

These fixed issues most notably are two rare glitches that could stop players from progressing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons at Photopia after moving to a different island or when starting a conversation after having too many placed furniture items on their island.

Other problems fixed by Nintendo include Luna repeating Dream Island explanations, villagers wearing Custom Design patterns incorrectly, villagers getting stuck in a player’s house when using certain features, and house door decorations being removed automatically due to an error.

In regard to the Happy Home Paradise DLC expansion, another two issues were fixed that both caused problems with progression through the expansion’s content including when closing the game at the wrong time while working at a facility or releasing an ant into a villager’s vacation yard. Sounds like a fun bug to track down…

However, there doesn’t appear to be any new content included in the update such as new items, at least according to the official patch notes. This is in line with our expectations for all future updates given that Nintendo has previously confirmed that major new content will no longer be released for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Though, it is worth noting that the previous Version 2.0.4 Update did feature two unexpected content changes regarding Gyroid Fragments and Zodiac Figurines. This article will be updated if any notable new changes outside of bug fixes happen to be discovered by ourselves or other players after publication.

Here’s the full official patch notes for Version 2.0.5 of Animal Crossing: New Horizons released on February 15th, 2022 in English from Nintendo below:
