Nature Day Event: All Special Nook Miles+ Tasks & Rewards

A brand new Nature Day Event has begun in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Learn in this guide how to start the event, complete special Nature Day Nook Miles+ activities, and unlock a special hedge fence reward.

How To Start Playing Nature Day

The Nature Day Event will take place on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons beginning on April 23rd, 2020 running through until May 4th, 2020. Note that in order for this new event to activate, you’ll need to have updated your copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons to the latest Version 1.2 April Update.

While your game should automatically updated, it’s possible to manually trigger an update if you don’t see Version 1.2.0 on the title screen. You can check for updates by pressing the + button on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons home screen icon, selecting Software Update, and hitting Via the Internet.

Once you’re all updated to Version 1.2.0 and your Nintendo Switch system clock is set between April 23rd – May 4th, you can begin enjoying the new Nature Day Event when you load up your copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

When the event begins, you should receive a letter from Tom Nook in your mailbox introducing the Nature Day event and the new nature-themed special Nook Miles+ activities for Nature Day. Head over to Resident Services and speak to Tom Nook there for more details on the event!

Special Nature Day Nook Miles+ Activities

During the Nature Day Event period beginning on April 23rd and running until May 4th, you can discover special nature themed tasks in the Nook Miles+ section of your NookPhone! These make for a great opportunity to rack up more Nook Miles currency.

Nature Day Nook Miles+ Activities are available for a limited time only during the event period and will disappear when the event ends. Be sure to complete at least one activity for a special prize discussed later in this guide!

• Tree Transplantation: Eat some fruit, turnips, or eggs to gain Energy then dig up a tree and re-plant it!
• Plant Coconuts on the Beach
• Craft Fencing for Beautiful Gardens: Craft some new fence items at a DIY Workbench!
• Pluck Blossoms and Craft a Flower Crown: Pluck some flowers by pressing A and craft any Flower Crown item at a DIY Workbench!
• Weave Flowers to Craft a Wreath: Pluck some flowers by pressing A and craft any Flower Wreath item at a DIY Workbench!
• Send Gratitude with Flowers: Pluck some flowers by pressing A and mail them to someone at the Airport!
• Decorate with Flowers: Pluck some flowers by pressing A and place them as furniture on a table or inside your house!
• Get Stylin’ by Wearing Flowers: Water some flowers somewhere on your island!
• Plant Shrub Starts: Buy some Shrub Bushes from Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Cosmos Seeds: Buy some Cosmos Seeds from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Hyacinth Bulbs: Buy some Hyacinth Bulbs from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Tulip Bulbs: Buy some Tulip Bulbs from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Mum Seeds: Buy some Mum Seeds from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Lily Bulbs: Buy some Lily Bulbs from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Pansy Seeds: Buy some Pansy Seeds from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!
• Plant Windflower Bulbs: Buy some Windflower Seeds from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!B
• Plant Rose Seeds: Buy some Rose Seeds from either Nook’s Cranny or Leif’s Flower Shop at Resident Services and plant them somewhere on your island!

Having Trouble Finding Flower Seeds Or Bulbs?

Always check the cabinet at Nook’s Cranny shop first when looking for a specific type of flower seeds or bulbs. If you can’t find what you’re looking for from the Nooklings, it’s likely that Leif will sell them at his Flower Shop when he visits your island.

Still having trouble finding the flower seeds or bulbs you need? You may need to try visiting a friend’s island and checking their Nook’s Cranny cabinet as its likely a different selection of flowers will be available for sale there. If they have Leif, you should check with him too.

Nature Day Rewards

A special reward is available from Tom Nook for completing your first special Nature Day task in Nook Miles+ and it’s absolutely perfect for decorating your island alongside the brand new bushes from Leif’s Flower Shop!

Currently, this is the only reward we’re aware of for the Nature Day Event. Given that the event is slated to last for almost two full weeks until May 4th and the first reward is easily obtainable in one day, we suspect there could be additional rewards. This isn’t confirmed yet though.
