August Fireworks Show Event: Redd Raffle Prizes, Isabelle Boppers, Dates

The Fireworks Show is a special limited-time event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) taking place on Sundays during August! Learn all the items you can get from both Redd’s Raffle and Isabelle in this guide, plus event dates and times.

This event was refreshed with the Version 2.0 Update released in November 2021 and you’ll need to have updated your copy of Animal Crossing: New Horizons to experience the event in 2022 or beyond.

Fireworks Show Event Dates & Times

The Fireworks Show takes place on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons every Sunday night during the month of August from 7PM to Midnight. Both the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere receive the event on the same days, regardless of season.

You can find the Fireworks Show festivities beginning at 7PM on the following four dates during 2023:

  • August 6th, 2023
  • August 13th, 2023
  • August 20th, 2023
  • August 27th, 2023

For dates in 2022, you can simply reduce by one day.

At Midnight, the fireworks will promptly end and Redd’s Raffle will close, so be sure to enjoy all of the festivities before then!

Fireworks Show Event Activities — What To Do

Compared to other seasonal events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Fireworks Show is relatively small, but it’s still worth checking out!

Here’s a brief summary of what you can enjoy during the Fireworks Show Event, with more details for each activity later in this guide:

  • Enjoy the fireworks setting off in the sky over the island with your villagers or friends online.
  • Buy prizes from Redd’s Raffle including toys and treats.
  • Collect Bopper hat prizes from Isabelle for free.
  • Design and display custom firework designs.

Redd’s Raffle

During the Fireworks Show event on Sundays, the sly fox Redd who typically sells artwork on his Treasure Trawler will set up a prize booth outside of Resident Services instead. By spending Bells to purchase Raffle Tickets, you can enter Redd’s Raffle and win exclusive party prizes like fireworks, balloons, bubble wands, fans, and more!

Each Raffle Ticket can be purchased for 500 Bells each from Redd when interacting with his prize booth. There’s no limit to how many different tickets you can buy, and he makes it super easy to repeatedly purchase more offering a handy dialogue option to buy another.

These prizes can sometimes be given to you by one of your villager during the Fireworks Show as well when they run up to you with a bubble.

Redd’s Raffle Prizes Item List

When you enter Redd’s Raffle by purchasing a Raffle Ticket, you will receive one randomly selected festive prize out of 24 possible items corresponding to a raffle ticket number!

Additionally, using the food items like Cotton Candy will fill up your stamina meter for fruit energy, much like eating fruit.

The Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, and Pink Balloons will remain in your hand when standing, but can fly away if you trip and fall on your face when running!

Collect Isabelle’s Boppers (Prize List)

In addition to the prizes that Redd offers in his raffle, there are another four more exclusive Bopper items that you can get from Isabelle during the Fireworks Show event! During each date of the event, she’ll give you one for free.

Since there are five dates for the Fireworks Show event during August 2021, it should be easy to get all four different Boppers seen below by checking in every Sunday!

Bulb Bopper

Flower Bopper

Heart Bopper

Star Bopper

Boppers can be worn on your head glowing beautifully at night and sell for 245 Bells each to Timmy & Tommy.

Custom Design Pattern Fireworks

Enjoying the sight of beautiful fireworks lighting up the sky over your island is already amazing enough, but you can spice the event up even more by using custom pattern designs! By using any custom patterns currently on your NookPhone, they can be turned into fireworks showcased in the sky during the event.

To set your own custom design patterns as fireworks, simply speak to Isabelle outside of Resident Services any time either before or during the event and select the “I’ve got a firework idea!” dialogue option.

You can select up to 10 different custom designs at once to be used as fireworks during the show, and even pick the order that they’ll be launched by moving them around the different slots provided. At any time during the Fireworks Show, you can swap out patterns for different designs or change the order.

25 Fantastic Firework Custom Design Codes

For the best results, you should create firework pattern that are a circular design or make good use of the transparent pixels option. You may have to wait a bit to see your custom patterns in the sky sometimes as the game will cycle through both regular fireworks and custom ones.
