Prom Season Event Items & Clothing List (Color Variations)

Prom Season has begun in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with a vast collection of new items and clothing to collect! Learn how to get all of the different Prom items and their variations with this guide.

What Is Prom Season?

Taking place throughout the entirety of April in Animal Crossing, the Prom Season shopping event celebrates formal high-school dances popular in many parts of the world where students often wear fancy dresses or tuxedos.

Unfortunately, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons version of this ‘event’ only features a collection of Prom themed items to decorate and wear. There’s no actual in-game event with activities like you might expect.

How To Get Prom Season Items

There are two different places you can find and get Prom Season items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons during the month of April, with different items in each location:

Three Prom themed items are available for order in the Seasonal tab of Nook Shopping — two furniture items and one clothing item with rotating variations each day.
Nine Prom themed clothing and accessory items are available for purchase in the changing room at the Able Sisters shop. Each of these items comes in at least two different variations.

Note that the March Update is required to enjoy any of the Prom Season items. Nook Shopping can be accessed either with the Nook Stop Terminal at Resident Services, or your NookPhone if unlocked.

The Prom Sash is especially appealing as it’s technically a ‘backpack’ item that can go over types of clothing, rather than being its own entire outfit!

Prom Season Item Variation Lists

With the exception of the Prom Wall and Prom Flooring furniture items, every other Prom Season item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has at least two different color variations to collect, with some going as high as eight versions!
