How To Obtain Hotel Tickets

Decorate Daily Rooms at Resort Hotel for Villagers

Each day, you can speak to Leilani at the Resort Hotel’s main counter and design a new room at the resort. After a brand new room has been completed, Leilani will reward you with a helping of 200 Hotel Tickets Hotel Tickets!

It’s worth noting that if you simply are looking to get new items and don’t care about decorating, you can simply place a single item down, and move on to complete the room. It’s up to you whether you want to properly decorate a full hotel room or not!

Craft DIY Items for Drop Box

Near the end of the pier outside of Resort Hotel, you can find a special DIY Drop Box next to Kapp’n in his boat. Aside from the daily bonus for designing rooms, this is where the bulk of your Hotel Ticket earnings will come from!

At all times, you can find four different DIY requests at the Drop Box. Simply craft one of the requested items using the required materials and deposit it into the Drop Box to claim the amount of Hotel Tickets listed underneath.

Broadly, these are the main points to know about how the DIY Drop Box works:

  • You can complete an unlimited number of DIY requests, there is no limit.
  • The type of items requested reset once per week on Mondays.
  • A 2x bonus boost to Hotel Ticket rewards applies to the first four requests offered each week.
  • Other than the weekly reset, the requests are persistent across multiple days until completed.
  • DIY requests can appear even for recipes that you haven’t learned yet.

In addition to the rewards for each individual DIY deposited, Kapp’n will sometimes give you a bonus set of Hotel Tickets for meeting various milestones:

  • Get an extra 50 Hotel Tickets Hotel Tickets after donating your first five DIY items.
  • Get an extra 100 Hotel Tickets Hotel Tickets repeatedly after every ten DIY items donated.

Spending Hotel Tickets at Souvenir Shop

However, items on display are discounted by 30% fewer Hotel Tickets and can be picked up immediately without waiting for mail, compared to the catalog. The exact same items can be purchased using either method.

Note that you may see a different variation or colour of an item sold on your island compared to what’s displayed in this guide. Don’t worry — you can customize them into your preferred version with Cyrus on Harvey’s Island!

How To Unlock More Items For Sale
