How To Play International Museum Day & Event Dates
The International Museum Day event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons begins on May 18th running for almost two full weeks until the end of the month! For this event, the dates are the same every year, including 2026 where it is held from May 18th to 31st, 2026.
When this event begins on your island, there will be a morning announcement from Isabelle sharing the news of a Stamp Rally on the behalf of Blathers! After this, you can start the event’s activities by heading to your Museum and speaking to Blathers. Speaking to him is required to start collecting stamps.
Once you’ve gotten the low down from Blathers, you can begin collecting stamps by touring your Museum’s galleries. Each of the exhibits including Fish, Bugs, Fossils, and Art has three handy Stamp Stations in the gallery bearing an owl logo.
Simply walk up to one of these carts inside the Museum to open up your Stamp Card for that section and press A to fill out one of the spots with a stamp! Every stamp card has three unique stamps to collect — one for each of the stations within the exhibit.
Once you’ve visited and collected 3 stamps from each station in a single exhibit, your Stamp Card for that gallery for the day will be completed allowing you to a receive a prize for that exhibit.
You can head back to Blathers in the Museum foyer and speak with him to claim your event prizes for completing each card whenever you wish — either after finishing a single card or saving up all four at once.
After you complete all 4 stamp cards, with 12 stamps in total, that’s all of the event activities International Museum Day has to offer for the day. It can be completed in as little as five to ten minutes giving you all of the available event rewards. It’s a super easy event!
Repeating The Event Again
If you return to the Museum and speak to Blathers on a later day during the event period, he’ll inform you that a Stamp Rally is being held at the Museum again. However, the stamp stations listed on your Stamp Cards will change each time, and thereby the locations you’ll need to visit too.
But sadly, when you complete the Stamp Rally again, you will only receive duplicates of the exact same items — there are no bonus prizes! Unless you’re designing a Museum themed room or area on your island in need of these items or just find it fun, you’ll probably want to pass on repeating the event.
Event Rewards for International Museum Day
There are four different reward items you can get by collecting stamps and completing the Stamp Rally during International Museum Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons! Each of the main exhibits in the Museum offers a unique matching reward.
All prizes can be wall-mounted, but unfortunately not customized or used as a doorplate.
