Resetti Reset Service: How To Find Him & Cleanup Your Island
Resetti returns in full force with the Version 3.0 Update offering handy new features to reset and cleanup your island. Learn how to find him and get his Tender Mole Care (TMC) to work in this guide.
Finding Resetti
The first time you meet Resetti in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, he’ll be randomly walking around your island as a visitor — you might even spot him on the title screen. You may need to have reached a 3 Star island rating for him to appear.
After your first introduction to Resetti, he can summoned onto your island on any non-event day by speaking to Isabelle at Resident Services and selecting ‘Call the Reset Service’. Resetti will then appear at a random location on your island to hunt down!
Cleaning with Resetti Reset Service
At the start of each day that you begin engaging with Resetti’s reset services, he will charge a daily fee of 60,000 Bells to begin. But for the rest of the day afterwards, you get unlimited uses of his powers as much as you want. All-you-can-eat resetting!
General Reset Service Rules
When using Resetti’s services, you can choose between three different target areas:
- A specific plot of land, roughly 10×10 tiles.
- The island’s entire beach, including items on rocks.
- Your entire island.
By default, all items removed will go into your house storage, assuming that you have enough available storage spaces. Upgrade your home storage space with Tom Nook up to 9000 slots for the best results!
- ✅ Resetti will remove:
- ✅ Furniture, fencing, ladders, and almost all items on the ground — without asking.
- ✅ Planted flowers (into storage or thrown away) and custom designs — after asking you.
- ✅ Cockroaches from your house.
- 🚫 Resetti won’t remove:
- 🚫 Planted trees, bushes, vegetables, and weeds.
- 🚫 Items buried in the ground with an X.
- 🚫 Naturally spawned shells on the beach. (if you place one in a unnatural spot, it will still be removed)
- 🚫 Island Designer pathways without custom designs.
As mentioned above, Resetti will ask your preference for whether flowers and custom designs should be cleared. And in the case of flowers, you can choose between depositing flowers into your house storage or throwing them out entirely.
Resetting Specific Area of Land
When selecting Resetti’s option to ‘pick the area’, he will drop the temporary Transceiver item into your inventory.
This Transceiver item can be used at any time to summon Resetti to your location for resetting a specific plot of land. Select the ‘Call him over’ option when using the item to do so.
A 10×10 grid orange tinted box will appear over the land in front of you indicating which area of your island will be cleared by Resetti. Unfortunately, it is not possible to resize or reshape this box, or manually place the boundaries.
For greater clarity, you can also fully preview the result by selecting the ‘What will it look like?’ option. Once you approve, Resetti will get to work with a fun vacuum animation!
Note that the Transceiver item is temporary and will be removed from your inventory at end of day.
Resetting Entire Beach or Island
Aside from picking a specific plot of land, you can also select far more sweeping options of ‘Just the beach’ or ‘The entire island’ with Resetti.
If you already have the Transceiver item in your inventory, it cannot be used for these options — you must find where Resetti is on your island again.
